Originally written in the early 70s, this series of YA horse books is being re-released for new generations as well as for its now-grown fans. Collectively, the series has sold over a million copies. Local Ocala-based artist Sally Ann Lyle [ www.sallylyle.com ] has helped to breath new life into these classic favorites.

Book 6 out and available on Amazon now, Barbara and I are already reviewing The Sweet Running Filly for rerelease through Amazon’s CreateSpace in both print and Kindle formats.
The first of five in the original Bonnie books series,The Sweet Running Filly sold over 210,000 copies when it was released in 1971 by Signet, and was translated into several languages.
Looking to rerelease all five books in the series, we will have a better idea of what our release schedule will look like after this weekend. We are also thrilled to mention that our new cover artist, the incredibly talented Sally Ann Lyle, will be doing all five books to go with Barbara’s newest release.
We will keep you posted on our progress and might even give you a peek behind the process along the way. Till then, keep calm and Bonnie on!
In the saddle,
A Special Kind of Courage is officially out and available on Amazon!
The first book published by Barbara in over 30 years, we are incredibly happy to be able to share this newest installment in the Bonnie books series with all of her fans.
I’m very proud to be a part of this project and have had the chance to talk to people about the books recently. Barbara has been humbled on more than one occasion with compliments like “I read those books as a child! I love Bonnie!” and it has been wonderful to see how much of an impact her books had made on people. It is my hope that the series sees a resurgence of interest and support, through not only previous fans, but new generations as well.
Barbara and I will be on hand for her first A Special Kind of Courage book signing this coming weekend in Ocala at United Hay Sales from 12noon until around 3:30pm. More about that next!
