Courage is up and running!

For fans of the original series, as well as a whole new generation of readers, book 6 in the Bonnie Books series is now available on Amazon here!

Thank you for your patience, we’re back to work on books 3-5 of the original series and hope to have more for you soon!

Oops! Two-for-one

Late nights are seldom conducive to accuracy, so everyone got a two-for-one last week when I posted about the new cover for book one. You got a look at the cover for the original The Sweet Running Filly, BUT the sneak peek was actually for book two, A Horse Called Bonnie. /facepalm

Now I could have swapped out the image and no one would have really known (except us), but I decided to go ahead and let both out of the bag instead. So here are the sneak peeks for both books, corrected!

Book One, The Sweet Running Filly, originally released in 1971 (with the REAL cover peek).

And Book Two, A Horse Called Bonnie, also originally released in 1971 (with the correct original cover).

We hope you are enjoying the behind the scenes peeks. I am a big fan of Sally Ann Lyle’s work, so it has been a pleasure sharing the new covers with you all. Stop by Sally’s site and take a look at her other work when you get a chance, she has some beautiful pieces.

And, if you are local, don’t forget to stop by the Authors in the Park event on March 29th in Mount Dora. Barbara and I will both be there with our books and we look forward to seeing you! (And don’t forget to pick up your free bookmark!)

The sweet filly is still running

Book One of the Bonnie book series, The Sweet Running Filly, originally released in 1971, is being re-released this month!

Barbara has been working through the original five books to make sure they are ready for release. Sally Ann Lyle, the cover artist for A Special Kind of Courage, will grace the covers of all five re-releases.

Here’s a sneak peek at the new cover for book one alongside the original 1971 cover…

We are looking forward to rekindling (no pun intended) the series for a new generation of young adult horse lovers as well as adult fans all over the world.

And a special thank you to all of our UK customers who have been picking up copies of Courage on Kindle! Thank you for helping us get the word out.

Prepping for a big day tomorrow

2013-11-07 08.20.58We will be setting up a booth for Barbara to sign books in the morning at the 8th Annual Charity Auction and BBQ being held at United Hay Sales off Hwy 326 and Hwy 27 in Ocala.

Benefitting the local therapeutic riding program at Tomorrow’s Equestrian Center, we will be donating 20% of the proceeds of all sales at our booth to the program and hope to see you all there! Barbara will be on hand to sign her books, answer questions, and…::whispers:: we may even convince her to read part of a chapter.

(Shhh, don’t tell her I told you that.)

The event starts at 12noon with BBQ and a preview of the items that have been donated for the Silent Auction. And don’t forget, Bull Chip Bingo starts at 3pm so make sure to get your land deed before they let the bull out!

All the proceeds go to a good cause and it promises to be a lot of fun, so come out and spend the day with us! See you there.

Running down the checklist,
Ria

Revisiting an old friend, The Sweet Running Filly

cover_sweetrunningBook 6 out and available on Amazon now, Barbara and I are already reviewing The Sweet Running Filly for rerelease through Amazon’s CreateSpace in both print and Kindle formats.

The first of five in the original Bonnie books series,The Sweet Running Filly sold over 210,000 copies when it was released in 1971 by Signet, and was translated into several languages.

Looking to rerelease all five books in the series, we will have a better idea of what our release schedule will look like after this weekend. We are also thrilled to mention that our new cover artist, the incredibly talented Sally Ann Lyle, will be doing all five books to go with Barbara’s newest release.

We will keep you posted on our progress and might even give you a peek behind the process along the way. Till then, keep calm and Bonnie on!

In the saddle,
Ria
